Eleanor Vance is a professor of art history whose work explores the intersection of art, religion, and power in Renaissance and Baroque Europe.
She is the author of six books on patronage, devotion, and visual culture, and has curated exhibitions at major museums across Europe and North America.
She earned her Ph.D. from Yale University and has taught for more than twenty-five years.
